Obituary:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Tuesday, 15 June 1971:  Camille Pitt.  Funeral services will be held in St. Jules Church, time pending, for Camille Pitt, 59, who died at his home at 106 Lou St. at 9 a.m. Tuesday.  Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Scott.  Survivors include his widow, Lucille Comeaux Pitt of Lafayette; his father, Ulinor Pitt Sr., of Scott; two daughters, Mrs. Don Stemmans of Carencro and Miss Jane Pitt of Lafayette; five brothers, Benoit Pitt, Paul Pitt, Johnnie Pitt, Elinor Pitt Jr. and Anthony Pitt, all of Scott.  Mr. Pitt, a native of Scott and a resident of Lafayette since 1956, was the son of Ulinor Pitt Sr. and the late Louisianais Domingue Pitt, both natives of Lafayette Parish.  Mr. Pitt was a former employee of the Lafayette Police Jury and was a retired merchant of Lafayette.  He was a member of St. Jules Church.  Martin and Castille Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Obituary:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Friday, 6 May 1988:  (photo)  Funeral services will be held Friday at a 4 p.m. Mass in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Mrs. Camille Pitt, 75, the former Lucille Comeaux, who died Thursday at 8:15 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Ralph Landry, associate pastor, will officiate.  Mrs. Lisa Roy organist, will sing "Ji rai la voir un jour", "Isaiah 49", "I Am The Bread of Life" and "How Great Thou Art".  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Don 'Janet' Stemmans of Carencro and Mrs. Allen 'Jane' Chiasson of Lafayette; three grandchildren; and one brother, Linsay Comeaux of Scott.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Camille Pitt in 1971; her parents, Edmond Comeaux and Letitia Webb; paternal grandparents, Eloi Comeaux and Catherine Alleman; and maternal grandparents, John Webb and Victorine 'Dixie' Potier.  A former resident of Scott, she had resided in Lafayette for 25 years.  The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. today until time of services.  Pallvearers are Allen Chiasson, Don Stemmans, Darrell Comeaux, Donald C. Stemmans II, Johnnie Pitt and Anthony Pitt.  Martin and Castille Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Janet Ann Pitt:  The Times (Shreveport, LA), Sunday, 18 November 2001:  Carencro, LA - A memorial mass for Janet Ann Pitt Stemmans, 62, will be held Monday, November 19, at 2:00 PM, at Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church.  Mrs. Stemmans died at 7:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2001, in her residence.  Mrs. Stemmans is survived by her husband, Don Stemmans of Carencro; three children, Charlotte Stemmans Clavier and her husband, Shanon N. Clavier, of Carencro, Donald Charles Stemmans II and his wife Heather H. Stemmans, of Carencro, and Catherine L. Stemmans of Terre Haunte, Indiana; one sister, Jane Chiasson and her husband Allen Chiasson; and three grandchildren, Derek Clavier, Victoria Stemmans and Caroline Stemmans and many friends.  A rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM Monday in St. Peters Catholic Church before the service.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM Monday November 19 until service time at St. Peters Catholic Church, Carencro.  In memory of Janet donations may be made to: The Ministry of Father Charles Thibodeaux in care of the Jesuit Ministry Office, New Orleans, LA.  Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro is in charge of arrangements.
