Obituaries for the children:

Leon Pitre:  The Guardian (Charlottetown, PEI), Saturday, 9 October 1948:  Peters - At the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Doiron, Spring Park Street, City, on Thursday, Oct. 7, 1948, Leon Peters in his 86th year.  His remains are resting at his late residence from where the funeral will take place this (Saturday) morning at 8:45 to St. Dunstan's Basilica.  Interment will take place in the Catholic Cemetery.

- Passed Away - The late Mr. Leon Peters, 86, who died on Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Doiron, Charlottetown, was the father of a distinguished Islander, Mr. Francis Peters, now of Ottawa, who some time ago received the Papal honour of a knighthood in the Order of St. Gregory the Great.  Other surviving members of the family are the late Mr. Peters' daughter, Mrs. William Doiron, City, and sons Jerry, North Rustico, and Henry, Hope River; also a brother, Frank, Hope River, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Gallant, St. Charles.  The late Mr. Peters was a native of Hope River, where he resided until coming to Charlottetown twelve years ago.  He was well and favorably known throughout the community, and his demise after a week's illness will be deeply regretted.

 

Joseph Pitre:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Tuesday, 19 September 1944:  Peters - In this city, Sept. 17, 1944, Joseph Peters, aged 84 years.  Remains were forwarded from Frank Hennessey's Funeral Home yesterday afternoon to St. Peter's Bay for interment.

 

Francois Pitre:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Monday, 29 September 1958:  Peters - At the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Gallant, North Rustico, on Sunday, September 28, 1958, Frank C. Peters, formerly of Martin, Lot 23, in his 84th year.  His remains will be forwarded this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Charlottetown Funeral Home to his late residence from where the funeral will be held Tuesday morning to Stella Maris Church, North Rustico, for Requiem High Mass at 9 o'clock.  Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Hope River.
