Obituary: Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 14 March 1966: Of Marrero, La., on Sunday, March 13, 1966, at 11:30 o'clock a.m., Clarice Saucier, beloved wife of the late Charles Pitre by first marriage and of the late Seraphin Theriot by second marriage; mother of Mrs. Charles Macaluso, Mrs. Woodrow Este, Norris, Raymond and Russell Pitre, stepmother of Mrs. Willie Brady, Mrs. Noah Arabi, Mrs. Cara Saucier, Louis J., S.T., Chester, Welton, Lawrence and Owia Theriot; daughter of the late Helen Bourgeois and Raymond Saucier; sister of Mrs. Eddie Toups, Mrs. Adolph Robichaux, Mrs. Enola Bardin and the late Whitney Saucier. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Age 62 years. A native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Marrero for the past 30 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also faculty and employees of Marrero Junior High School, employees of Expressway Bowling Lanes, Dixie Carrier, Inc., Westwego Elementary and Junior High School, Avondale Shipyards Corp., Continental Can Co., and Celatex Corp., are invited to attend the funeral. Burial will be at Christ the King Mausoleum Cemetery, Simmesport, under the direction of Escude' Funeral Home. Mrs. Mitchell, 78, of Simmesport, died September 29, 2003 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. Survivors include her husband, Milbon Mitchell of Simmesport; three daughters, Carol Mitchell Theriot of Raceland, Gail Mitchell Breau of Gretna and Barbara Mitchell Este of Kaplan; six step-daughters, Kay Bonner of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Malinda Thibodeaux of St. Bernard Parish, Patricia Autin of Marrero, Karen Cannon of LaParte, Texas, Brenda Gamble of Covington, and Chantel Loyd of Covington; brother, Norris Pitre of Marrero and sister, Joyce Pitre of Marrero. She was preceded in death by father, Red Pitre and mother, Clarice Pitre. Visitation will be at Escude' Funeral Home, Simmesport on September 30, 2003 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. A wake service will be on September 30, 2003 at 7 p.m. and reopen the following day at 8 a.m.
Russell Charles Pitre: Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Sunday, 18 January
1998: Russell C. Pitre, a retired clerical worker, died Friday of
cancer at his home. He was 71. Mr. Pitre was born in Raceland and
lived in Algiers. He was a Navy veteran and retired as a chief petty
officer. Survivors include his wife, Betty Hendrix Pitre; three
sons, John, Michael and Timothy Pitre; two daughters, Susan Hourcade
and Rebecca Polizzi; two brothers, Raymond and Norris Pitre; two
sisters, Joyce Guidry and Shirley Mitchell; seven grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at
Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 West Bank Expressway. Visitation will be today
from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

in death by his granddaughter Ryan Leal. Age 68 years. A
native of Lafourche Parish, La., and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives
and friends of the family, also employees of Dixie Carriers, Inc. are invited to
attend a Funeral Mass at Mothe Funeral Homes, Inc., Marrero, La. on Friday,
April 24, 1998 at 11:00 o'clock a.m. Parlors will be open Thursday evening
from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00
a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to American Heart Association.
