Joseph Loyd Pitre: The Houston Chronicle (Houston, TX), Wednesday, 1 March 1950: Pitre - Lloyd Pitre, 54, of 845 Arlington, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born in Houma, La., and had been a resident of Houston for 18 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post 391 of Houston. He was a member of Heights First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Pitre and four sisters, Mrs. John Glover and Mrs. Dan Garner of Corpus Christi and Mrs. B. K. Weekly and Mrs. Adam Racca of Sulphur, La. Funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Fogle-West Funeral Home with Rev. Presley E. Hand officiating. Burial in Forest Park Cemetery. Pallbearers: Murphy Carriere, R. L. Brooks, Bennett Lake, A. Jordan, Bill Cummings and J. F. Gresham. Fogle-West Company.

Marie Mabel Pitre: Southwest Daily News (Sulphur, LA), Thursday, 4 April 1996: Funeral services for Mabel Pitre Weekley, 91, of Sulphur will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. Mid Burnett will officiate and burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 10 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday. She died Tuesday, April 2, 1996 in the Sulphur Nursing Home. She is a native of Houma and was a Sulphur resident most of her life. She attended church services conducted by the First Baptist Church at the Holly Hill Nursing Home. She worked at the W. T. Henning Elementary School during the 1960s as a cafeteria worker. Survivors include one daughter, Lillie Thornton of Sulphur; two grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren.

She was dead on arrival at the West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital. Funeral services were to be at 4 p.m. Friday in the Hixson Funeral Home. Rev. R. L. Harris, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, was to officiate. Burial was to be in the Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Racca was a native of Terrebonne Parish and had lived here 23 years. Survivors are her husband; one son, Joseph Adam Racca Jr. of Kenner; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas Frederick of Morgan City; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Weekley of Sulphur, Mrs. John Glover of Teague, Tex., and Mrs. Dan Garner of Corpus Christi, Tex.; and six grandchildren.

The body was taken to that place at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning by Roberts Undertaking company. Burial was to be in Batson cemetery. Mrs. Hester is survived by her husband, Otis Hester, one daughter, Vivian L. Hester, her mother, Mrs. O. Pitre; one brother, Lloyd Pitre; and four sisters, Hazel, Pearl and Bernice Pitre, all of Daisetta, and Mrs. Viola Carlin of Gulf, Texas.

Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. Mrs. Glover died Thursday in a Tyler hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born July 8, 1912, in Lake Charles. She moved to Henderson in 1972 and was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, John K. Glover, Henderson; and two sisters, Mrs. Mable Weekley, Sulphur, La., and Mrs. Pearl Garner, Corpus Christi.
Maggie Pearl Pitre: Corpus Christi Caller Times (Corpus Christi, TX), Monday, 1 January 1996: Maggie Pearl Garner, 80, of Corpus Christi, passed away Sunday, December 31, 1995 at a local hospital. Mrs. Garner was born June 28, 1915 in Deridder, Louisiana. She retired from Memorial Medical Center after 30 years as the Supervisor of the Linen Department. She was attending the Church of Acts and was a volunteer at local nursing homes and with the Catholic Church. She helped to distribute food to those in need in the Corpus Christi area. Survivors include two daughters: Doris L. Rhea and Jan Diggs both of Corpus Christi; one sister: Mable Weekly of Sulphur, Louisiana; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin Monday at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 1, 1996 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Everhart Chapel. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 1996 at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
