Obituary:  The Vancouver Sun (BC), Saturday, 4 August 1928:  (photo included) Clarence J. Pitre, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Pitre, 2204 Fourth avenue, was killed at the lumber mill of Wood & English Ltd., Inglewood, B.C., on Wednesday, August 1.  He had been at work there as a gas engineer for only three days.  A telegram was received by the local office of the firm on Thursday stating merely that the fatal accident had occurred, but giving no details.  The family was notified at once.  Deceased was well known in Vancouver to a large circle of friends.  He was 27 years of age and leaves a wife and one daughter, Norma, and one brother, Ivo, besides his parents, all residing in Vancouver.  Upon arrival of the SS. Prince George on Monday, Nunn & Thomson will take charge of the funeral arrangements, which will be announced later.

Obituary:  The Vancouver Sun (Vancouver, BC), Friday, 31 January 1992:  Joyce - Dorothea Pearl passed away peacefully in Lions Gate Hospital on January 28, 1992 aged 87 years.  Survived by 2 daughters, Norma Pidgeon of North Vancouver, Judith Halm of Germany; 4 grandchildren, Sharon (Don Smith), Rebecca Darnell, Thomas Pidgeon and Christopher Halm of Germany; 2 great-grandchildren, Tracy and Jason Smith; brother, Victor Darnell of White Rock; sister, Ethel Lytle of Manitoba; and many nieces and nephews in Manitoba.  Memorial service will be held Monday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Boal Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, North Vancouver. Cremation.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Norma Pearl Pitre:  The Vancouver Sun (Vancouver, BC), Wednesday, 29 December 1999:  Pidgeon - Norma Pearl (nee Pitre), passed away suddenly December 20, 1999 aged 78.  Survived by sister Judith Halm of Berlin, Germany; daughters, Sharon (Don) Smith, Rebecca Darnell and son Thomas Pidgeon; grandchildren Tracy and Jason Smith; and nephew, Christopher Halm.  The family wish to thank all the caring staff and friends at the Kiwanis Care Centre.  No service by her request.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the B.C. Lung Association, Vancouver.
