Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet, 5 April 1987:  Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Charles N. Pitre Sr., 77, who died Sunday at 2 p.m.  Visitation is today 5-10 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Landry's Funeral Home, Thibodaux.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  He is survived by his wife, Ruby Toups Pitre; parents Henry and Marie Usey Pitre; two sons, Charles N. Pitre Jr., and Henry J. Pitre; one daughter, Marie Pitre Hunter of Littleton, Colo.; four brothers, John, Murphy, Alfred and Edwin Pitre and two sisters, Nita Thibodaux and Alice Mae Malbrough.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Elice Faucheaux.  Arrangements were by Landry's Funeral Home.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St Joseph 
Co-cathedral in Thibodaux for Ruby Toups Pitre, 87, a native and resident of Thibodaux, who died at 10 p.m. 
Nov. 10, 1998.  Visitation will be 8 a.m. until funeral time at the church.  Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery in 
Thibodaux.  She was the mother of Charles N. Jr. and Henry Pitre and Mrs. Glenn (Marie) Hunter; and sister of 
Joseph Toups, Pearl Constant Hattie LeBlanc, Lillie Mae Constant and Eula Mae Bergeron. She is also 
survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. 
Pitre Sr.; parents, Joseph and Henrietta Cancienne Toups; brothers, Nolan, Roy, Roland, Louis Norman and 
Freddie Toups; and sisters, Verna Ford and Bernice Aupied.  Landry's Funeral Home, Inc. of Thibodaux is in 
charge of arrangements.
