Obituary:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Monday, 9 August 1982:  Scott - Funeral services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Church at a 4:30 p.m. Mass Sunday for Benoit Pitt, 73, who died at his residence at 8:15 a.m. Saturday.  Interment was in the church cemetery.  Services were conducted by the Rev. Mike DesJardins, associate pastor.  Soloists for the funeral Mass were Mr. Pitt's nieces, Michelle and Lisa Weber.  Pallbearers were Anthony Pitt, Johnny Pitt, Paul Pitt, Ulinor Pitt Jr., Orlan Weber and Wayne Weber.  Honorary Pallbearers were Walter, Aston, Glenn, and Jimmy Weber, Ronald Pitt and Donald Pitt.  Survivors include his wife, Nola Weber Pitt; his father, Ulinor Pitt Sr.; four brothers, Paul, Johnny, Ulinor Jr. and Anthony Pitt all of Scott.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Camille Pitt.  A native of Lafayette Parish and a resident of the Scott area all of his life, Mr. Pitt was the son of Ulinor Pitt, Sr. and Louisianaise Domingue.  He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Holy Name Society.  An employee of the Superior Oil Company in the 1930's and the Louisiana State Police in 1940, at the time of his death, Mr. Pitt was an independent carpenter and farmer.  Martin and Castille Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Friday, 31 July 1998:  Nola Weber Pitt - Scott - Services for Nola Weber Pitt, 88, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Martin & Castille Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. until the services Saturday.  She died Thursday at Magnolia Nursing Home.
