Misc.: Chicago Tribune (IL), Saturday, 2 March 1895: Back from the Indian Country - Three Chicago boys return from exciting experiences far from home - Allan Bubriel, aged 10 years, returned yesterday from the Far West. He was accompanied in his adventures by Bertie Lapete, aged 12 years, and Harold Barr, aged 11. They went in a cattle car as far into the Western waste as Seneca, Ill., where the Town Marshal took care of them and sent them home. They started Wednesday morning from Chicago at a time when their folks thought they were trudging faithfully to school. Allan Bubriel, whose absence cause no end of excitement and anxiety for thirty-six hours, lives at No. 534 Sixty-second street. His father, William A. Bubriel, is engaged in the loan and investment business. Bertie Lapete lives at No. 5924 Dickie street and Harold Barr lives at No. 6445 Wright street.

'Marion' Mary Elizabeth Lepitre: Chicago Daily News (Chicago, IL), Friday, 14 November 1952: Mrs. Marion E. Olson, 46, a widow, was found beaten to death Friday in a South Side hotel room, where she lived with a man friend. Detective Thomas Burns said the man, Lee Kilgore, 42, admitted beating the woman with his fists Thursday night in the room at the Stately hotel, 6150 Greenwood. Burns said Kilgore, a cook, appeared to have been drinking heavily. The body was found by another resident of the hotel, Mrs. Judy Monroe, when she went to the room to visit Mrs. Olson. Detective Burns said the body was lying nude on the floor, covered with a blanket. He said Mrs. Olson had been beaten severely on the chest, stomach and back. (Further report refers to her as a divorcee.)
