Augustin Harris Pitre: The Courier (Houma, LA), Friday, 7 November 1941: Funeral services were held today, at 3:30 p.m., at the St. Francis de Sales church, for Harris Pitre, 69 years old, who died at his residence here yesterday between noon and 1 p.m. He leaves his widow, seven children, 31 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The children surviving are Mesdames Thomas Cadiere and Lowrey Belanger and James Pitre of Houma; Clemile, Alfred and Mesdames Dennis Ledet and Wycliff Ledet of New Orleans. Interment was in the St. Francis de Sales cemetery and funeral arrangements were by the St. Mary Funeral home.

Mrs. Camille Cadiere, 79, died on Saturday, April 24 at 12:30 a.m. at her
residence, 1423 East Park Avenue. She is the former Josephine Pitre.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 26 at 10 a.m. from
Chauvin Funeral Home to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary church. Interment
was in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs.
Thaddeus Guidry and two grandchildren. Chauvin Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
