Joseph Octave 'Adolph' Pitre: La Gazette (QUE), Thursday, 31 December 1959: It is with regret that we learned of the death of Mr. Adolphe Pitre, husband of Blanche Leduc, residing at 44, rue St-Theodore, Valleyfield, which occurred Tuesday, December 22, at the age of 67. The funeral took place on Thursday, May 24. The funeral convoy left the Salons Funerairse J. A. Larin & Fils, 317 rue Victoria, to go to the cathedral of Valleyfield where Bishop Jean-Denis Cadieux, c.s., cure, sang the service at 10 o'clock. Interment was in the cemetery of Valleyfield. In addition to his wife, the deceased leaves to mourn his loss five boys, MM. Rolland, Marcel, Rene, Gilles and Denis Pitre, and four daughters, Lorette (Oscar Emond), Marcella (Rene Payeur), Janine (Donald Gagnon) and Denise (Denis Soucy); his daughters-in-law, Mrs. Rolland Pitre (nee Lucienne Mercier), Mrs. Marcel Pitre (nee Liliane Noel), Mrs. Rene Pitre (nee Luce Leger), Mrs. Gilles Pitre (nee Helene Pomerleau), Mrs. Denis Pitre (nee Brigite Cadieux); his sons-in-law, Messrs. Oscar Emond, Rene Payeur, Donald Gagnon and Denis Soucy. In addition, the deceased is survived by a brother, Mr. Arthur Pitre, of Valleyfield; his brother-in-law, Mr. Emile Lalonde, and his sisters-in-law, Mrs. Arthur Pitre (nee Alice Hebert), Mrs. Emile Lalonde (nee Germaine Leduc) and Mrs. widow Victor Bougie (nee Janette Leduc).
