Obituaries for the children:

Joseph David Pitre:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Saturday, 15 September 1979:  Bathurst - The death of David Pitre, 806 Archibald Street, occurred Wednesday at Chaleur General Hospital.  He was 60.  Born in South Tetagouche, he was a son of the late Alex and Elizabeth (Gauthier) Pitre.  He was a truck driver prior to his illness.  He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyne Pitre; two sons, Donald of Bathurst and Brian at home; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Fougere (Rose-Marie), Edmundston, Mrs. Roland Cyr (Linda), Bathurst and Pauline Pitre, at home; one brother, Richard, South Tetagouche; two sisters, Mrs. Wilfred Legacy (Melvina) and Mrs. Irene Pitre, both of South Tetagouche; and six grandchildren.  The body is resting at Verret's Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Church today at 10 a.m. to be followed by interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in South Tetagouche.

 

Marie Rina Pitre:  L'Acadie Nouvelle (Caraquet, NB), Monday, 15 February 1999:  South Tetagouche - At Bathurst Regional Center Hospital, on Friday, February 12, 1999, at the age of 77 years, Rina Pitre passed away, residing at South Tetagouche.  Born at Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre Pitre and the late Elizabeth Gauthier.  She is survived by two sons: Elmer (Sylvia) and Norman (Yvette), both of Bathurst; one brother, Richard of South Tetagouche; one sister, Melvina Legacy of South Tetagouche, also seven grandchildren: Nathalie Kim, Josee Elise, Elmer Jr., Jerry, Monique, Lisa and Timmy.  One brother, David, preceded her in death.  The mortal remains will be on view at the Verret Funeral Chapel.  The funeral will take place at Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Church in South Tetagouche, Sunday, February 14, at 2 p.m.  Burial will take place in the parish cemetery in the spring.

 

Marie Malvina Pitre:  Acadie Nouvelle (NB), 6 March 2000:  Wilfred Lagace (Mrs) of South Tetagouche, died March 4, 2000 at age 76, born Melvina Pitre (Alex Pitre and Elisabeth).  Two sons: Roger (Debbie) and Percy (Lina) both of South Tetagouche; three daughters: Adeline (Gerard Pitre), Violet (Emmanuel Imhoff) and Evangeline (Clifford Pitre) all from South Tetagouche; one brother Richard of South Tetagouche.  Died, a brother Dave and a sister Rina.
