Phillip Pitre of 407 Melrose avenue East Transcona, was born in St. Alexis, Que., in 1883 and spent most of his youth in New Brunswick. He joined the Canadian National railways in 1920 and completed his service with them as a coach carpenter. C. Whittington presented Mr. Pitre with a cheque from the Goodwill association, and as a personal gift from his fellow workers he received a purse, presented by S.T.F. Webster. Mr. Pitre was a member of Lodge No. 550, Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America......

Peacefully, on November 16, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital, our beloved husband,
father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Benjamin Pitre, passed away at
age 81 years. As per his wishes, no public service will be held.
